This unique edition combines the energy and passion of the band with the tradition and craftsmanship of whisky-making. Since the 1970s, Judas Priest has established itself as one of the greatest and most influential bands in the heavy metal genre, and this whisky proudly carries on the band’s legacy.

The Judas Priest whisky is made from high-quality barley malt, which is gently smoked over beechwood fires to impart a subtle smoky note. Four years’ maturation in ex-bourbon casks imparts light notes of vanilla and caramel, whilst the finish in ex-rye and ex-brandy Jerez casks lends the whisky additional complexity and fruity depth. This exclusive edition is limited to just 12,300 bottles and is bottled at 47% ABV, giving it a remarkable intensity.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber.

Nose: An intense, smoky aroma with notes of caramel, toasted nuts, a hint of vanilla sweetness and a touch of fruitiness from the sherry casks.

Palate: Full-bodied and rich, with smoked malt, dark chocolate, oak, caramel and a delicate fruitiness derived from the rye and brandy casks.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm and complex with elegant notes of wood and smoke, accompanied by a subtle sweetness and a hint of spice.

The Judas Priest 50 Heavy Metal Years Single Malt Whisky is excellent enjoyed neat, particularly at room temperature or with a few drops of water to allow the complex flavours to unfold. It pairs perfectly with mature cheese, grilled meat or dark chocolate, stylishly complementing the smoky and fruity notes. Alternatively, it can be used as the base for a robust Whisky Old Fashioned or Whisky Sour.
