Patrón Tequila Silver is a premium blanco tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, made from 100 per cent Blue Weber agave. The agaves are harvested by hand and then carefully processed, with cooking, crushing and mashing forming the basis for the rest of the production process. Following fermentation, the spirit undergoes double distillation in pot stills, which brings out the characteristic agave flavour. Unlike aged tequila varieties, Patrón Silver focuses on the agave’s original character. After distillation, the tequila rests in stainless steel tanks, allowing the distillate to harmonise without absorbing any flavours or colour from ageing in wooden casks. The clear tequila is then bottled at 40 per cent alcohol by volume.


Patrón is a brand that, alongside traditional production methods, also implements measures to ensure the more efficient use of resources. A modern water treatment system is used in production, which recovers water from the manufacturing process and reuses it for operational purposes, amongst other things. Furthermore, Patrón utilises a natural gas pipeline as its main energy source to reduce the CO₂ emissions associated with production. Even the distinctive bottle is made from recycled glass. With its handy 0.2-litre bottle, Patrón Silver 100% Agave Tequila offers the familiar Blanco profile in a compact format, making it particularly suitable for tastings, smaller home bars or as a high-quality gift.

Nose: Delicate citrus notes blend with distinct agave spice and fruity undertones.

Palate: Velvety smooth and well-structured, with intense fruit, spicy agave and a refreshing citrus note.

Finish: Medium-length and fresh, with a clean, lingering agave and citrus character.

Patrón Tequila Silver is ideal for enjoying neat or as a premium base for classic tequila cocktails. Its fresh agave character comes into its own particularly well in a Margarita, Tommy’s Margarita or a Paloma. On the culinary front, this Blanco tequila pairs well with ceviche, grilled prawns, tacos, guacamole or mildly spicy Mexican dishes. When enjoyed neat, it can be served slightly chilled, whilst the 0.2-litre bottle is also ideal for small tastings and for getting to know 100 per cent agave tequila.
