The Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno Toscana IGT 2020 is a masterfully blended red wine from Tuscany that captivates with its depth, complexity and elegance. Made from a blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot, this wine combines the finest qualities of these internationally renowned grape varieties with the unique terroir of Tuscany. Following the harvest, the wine is aged for 18 months in barriques, which lends it additional structure and aromas of vanilla, spices and wood. Following barrel ageing, the wine is cellared for a further 12 months in the bottle before being released for sale. This ensures complete harmonisation and a rounded, mature character.

Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno Toscana IGT has an ageing potential until 2033, making it a wine that will mature beautifully over the years, gaining in complexity as time goes on. With an alcohol content of 15% vol., it is an excellent wine for collectors and connoisseurs who wish to enjoy a high-quality, long-lasting product.

Tasting Note

A deep, intense ruby red in the glass. The nose reveals impressive aromas of dark fruits, such as blackberries and blackcurrants, which blend with notes of tobacco, leather and spices. These are complemented by subtle oaky notes of vanilla and cedar, derived from ageing in barriques. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with ripe, well-integrated tannins and perfectly balanced acidity. The aromas of black berries and spices continue, whilst the wine develops a silky, long-lasting texture. The finish is elegant and long, with a hint of chocolate and a gentle, spicy aftertaste.

Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno pairs superbly with hearty meat dishes, such as grilled beef, lamb or game. The wine also pairs beautifully with intense cheeses such as mature Pecorino or a strong blue cheese. This wine is perfect for festive occasions or as an accompaniment to an elegant dinner.
