Scapegrace is a premium brand that originated in New Zealand. It was founded by two friends, Mark Neal and Daniel McLaughlin, who shared a passion for gin, whisky and vodka and wanted to produce unique and exceptional spirits. The word ‘Scapegrace’ refers to a mischievous or reckless person and reflects the brand’s adventurous and rebellious character.

Scapegrace releases a small number of rare, limited-edition single malts, which are released in chronological order, forming a collection of individually numbered bottles that will never be replicated.

And so it begins, although in truth it all started years earlier – RISE.

“Nothing ever truly starts.” There is no fixed beginning to anything, only a continuous evolution involving various players and events that occur at different times.

This is also true of the limited edition RISE I, whose origins stretch far back into the past and bear the hallmark of Master Distillers Doug Lawry and his son Anthony.

This legacy is matured for at least five years in new French oak casks and captivates with notes of cinnamon, cloves and creamy vanilla.

RISE is a limited edition of 4,548 bottles.

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Fresh, fruity, with hints of cinnamon and vanilla.

Palate: Rich, creamy, with notes of buttered toast, vanilla and cinnamon.

Finish: Long-lasting.
