Produced at the legendary Diamond Distillery in Guyana, one of the Caribbean's most traditional rum distilleries, this rum was distilled in 2012 and then matured for 9 years in oak barrels. During this long storage period, it developed an impressive depth and complexity. Thanks to the single cask bottling, its character remains unchanged and authentic - without artificial additives or subsequent sweetening. At 50 % vol., this rum is powerful, intense and at the same time harmoniously rounded.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with amber reflections.

Nose: Strong notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit, vanilla and spicy oak.

Taste: Full-bodied and complex with flavours of caramel, roasted nuts, ripe banana and a fine smokiness.

Finish: Long-lasting, intense and spicy with slightly peppery wood notes and lingering sweetness.

Bellamy's Reserve Rum Guyana Diamond 2012 is ideal for pure enjoyment to experience the full depth of its cask maturation. A few drops of water help to develop its flavours even further. It harmonises particularly well with dark chocolate, roasted nuts or mature cheese. It is also an excellent choice as a luxurious base for a strong rum old fashioned or a Manhattan with a rum twist.
