Fabelhaft White Porto is an elegant, premium white port from Portugal’s famous Douro Valley, carefully crafted by Dirk van der Niepoort, one of Portugal’s most renowned winemakers. Niepoort is renowned worldwide for innovative, authentic wines and the highest quality standards, harmoniously blending tradition and modernity.

This white port is made from hand-picked, indigenous white grape varieties from the Douro Valley, including Malvasia Fina, Viosinho and Gouveio. Following a particularly gentle vinification process, the wine is aged in oak barrels, giving the White Porto its subtle complexity, elegant aromas and alluring balance. Its alcohol content of 19.5% vol. lends it depth and strength, whilst remaining gentle and elegant. The Fabelhaft White Port is an excellent introduction to the fascinating world of white Port wines, yet it also impresses experienced connoisseurs with its stylish character and expressive freshness.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Fabelhaft White Port displays a brilliant, pale golden colour with delicate amber highlights. Its delicate bouquet impresses with fragrant aromas of ripe citrus fruits, fresh apricots and dried white blossoms, accompanied by subtle notes of almonds and honey. On the palate, it is smooth, round and pleasantly sweet, with well-integrated, subtle acidity and elegant hints of candied fruit and nuts. Its finish is long, harmonious and characterised by a delicate, subtle spiciness.
