Leo Hillinger is a visionary entrepreneur and winegrower whose passion for viticulture has earned him international recognition. His estate, which today comprises an impressive 100 hectares of vineyards, is renowned for its excellent wines not only in Austria but worldwide. These wines are exported to over 20 countries around the world, underlining the global presence and popularity of the Hillinger brand. Hillinger’s focus on sustainable viticultural practices and organic production plays a key role in ensuring that his wines impress with their exceptional quality and purity.

Following years of training in Europe and California, Hillinger purchased 12 hectares of vineyards, thereby laying the foundations for his successful winery in Jois, which opened in 2004. The business has expanded to include several wine shops and bars across Austria, as well as a long-standing business relationship with the Constantia Glen winery in South Africa. In 2012, Hillinger was named ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ by Ernst & Young, highlighting his outstanding role in the wine industry.
