Kabumm Whisky is a collaboration between the famous German rapper Sido, his long-standing business partner Burkhard Westerhoff and the Austrian distiller Josef Farthofer. Only rare ancient grains, grown and carefully harvested on distiller Josef Farthofer’s 45-hectare farm, are used in the production of this whisky. After distillation, the whisky is matured for three years in used Mostello barrique casks. Mostello refers to an innovative pear dessert wine blend inspired by port. The whisky is bottled in a bomb-shaped bottle; to source this, numerous glassworks across Central Europe were contacted over a period of several months. Eventually, a family-run business in Poland with many years’ experience was found to produce these unique bottles.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Subtle notes of grain, dried fruit, cloves and star anise.

Palate: Silky smooth, dark chocolate, ripe fruit.

Finish: Long-lasting, with tart notes and intense dried pears.
