The story of Bodega Norton began with three entrepreneurs who, despite many challenges, realised their dreams and turned Norton into one of Argentina’s leading wineries. With the support of a renowned team of winegrowers, they achieved significant milestones in the history of Argentine winemaking. Bodega Norton’s five vineyards are situated in Luján de Cuyo, amongst the finest terroirs in the province of Mendoza at the foothills of the Andes. This privileged region, known as the First Zone, is renowned for the outstanding quality of its grapes. Another hallmark of quality is the advanced age of the vines, which average 30 years, with many over 80 years old. These old vines lend the wines depth and complexity.

Norton Reserva Malbec is made from 100 per cent of the noble Malbec grape variety, which thrives on gravelly soils with a sandy surface. This wine comes from vines that are at least 30 years old, giving it exceptional depth and complexity.

The vinification and ageing of this wine are carried out with the utmost care: after harvest, the wine matures for 12 months in new and once-used French oak barrels, which give it its subtle oaky aromas and elegant structure. The Norton Reserva Malbec is then left to age in the bottle for a further 10 months to allow its flavours to develop harmoniously and become more refined. Once matured, the wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork to preserve its quality and longevity. With a ageing potential until 2027, this Malbec offers a long-lasting tasting experience that will continue to unfold over the years.

Tasting Note

A deep, dark red in the glass. On the nose, enticing aromas of black fruits, violets, hints of tobacco, subtle toasted notes and vanilla. On the palate, it is very complex and densely structured, with spicy notes and ripe black cherries. The finish is long-lasting and characterised by pronounced tannins.
