Cotswolds PEATED CASK Single Malt Whisky 59.6% ABV, 0.7l, in a gift box online kaufen

The Cotswolds Peated Cask Single Malt Whisky is an exceptional bottling from the renowned Cotswolds Distillery, which is characterised by artisanal perfection and regional ingredients. As one of the few English whiskies, this single malt impresses with intense aromas that acquire a special depth and complexity through maturation in ex-peated casks (peat-smoked casks).

Made from 100 per cent locally grown barley, this whisky is double-distilled in copper stills using traditional methods and then matured in casks that previously held heavily peated Islay whiskies. The result is a perfect combination of fruity, sweet and peaty notes. With an impressive alcohol content of 59.6% ABV, it is an intense, powerful whisky that delights both connoisseurs and lovers of peaty whiskies alike.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep golden with amber highlights.

Nose: Intense aromas of honey, vanilla and toasted oak, accompanied by subtle smoky notes.

Palate: Full-bodied and robust, with notes of sweet malt, dark chocolate and a hint of peaty smoke.

Finish: Long-lasting with a pleasant blend of spice, sweet fruit notes and a gentle hint of smoke.

The Cotswolds Peated Cask Single Malt unfolds its full aroma at room temperature and can be enjoyed with a few drops of water to further open up the flavours. It pairs superbly with grilled meat, dark chocolate or smoked cheese. Alternatively, it makes an excellent base for a Smoky Old Fashioned, which elegantly highlights its peaty character.
