The Glen Moray 10 Years Old Fired Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an exceptional release from the renowned Glen Moray Distillery, which has been producing high-quality single malts in Scotland’s Speyside region since 1897. This special edition has been crafted to combine intense oak notes with classic Speyside flavours.

The whisky is first matured for 10 years in ex-bourbon casks before receiving a unique finish in heavily charred (‘Fired Oak’) casks. This additional maturation imparts deeper notes of vanilla and caramel, complemented by hints of toasted wood and spice. The interplay between the creamy sweetness of the bourbon cask and the smoky spiciness of the fired oak casks makes this single malt a wonderfully balanced delight.

With an alcohol content of 40 % vol., this whisky is approachable yet complex enough to delight lovers of more intense woody notes.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber.

Nose: Sweet vanilla and caramel, combined with toasty aromas, roasted nuts and subtle hints of spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and smooth with notes of toffee, dark chocolate, honey and spicy oak, accompanied by a hint of smoke.

Finish: Medium-length and pleasantly warming, with a blend of vanilla, toasted wood and delicate spice.

The Glen Moray 10 Years Old Fired Oak is excellent enjoyed neat or on the rocks to bring out its sweet, spicy notes. It pairs perfectly with dark chocolate, smoked cheese or grilled meat, as these flavours complement its woody and caramel notes beautifully. Alternatively, it can be used as a base for whisky cocktails such as a Whisky Old Fashioned with a vanilla twist or a Smoky Highball to highlight its intense cask notes.
