Originally known as ‘Tatra tea’, this tea originates from the Tatra Mountains, a stunning part of the Carpathian mountain range in Eastern Europe. In the past, people in this region firmly believed that there was a specific medicinal herb for every ailment. The ingredients for their ‘healing potions’ were simple and effective: hot water was mixed with honey, garlic, tallow and alcohol to achieve healing effects.

This tradition lives on today in Tatratea Liqueur, which is made using black tea from India, oak wood shavings and carefully selected herbs and spices. This modern liqueur preserves the essence of the original recipe whilst combining it with contemporary flavours.

The Apple & Pear Tea Liqueur is enhanced with natural apple and pear flavours, which give it its distinctive, fruity profile. This liqueur undergoes an elaborate maceration process before being bottled in striking red bottles with a high alcohol content of 67 per cent.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark brown.

Nose: Fruity, with notes of ripe pears and apples, and apple strudel.

Palate: Wintery spices such as cinnamon and vanilla, ripe apples, pears, baked apples, caramel.

Finish: Long-lasting.
