The El Dorado Single Still Enmore Finest Demerara Rum 2009 is a limited-edition bottling from the renowned Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) in Guyana. This special vintage rum is produced using the legendary Enmore Wooden Coffey Still, one of the last remaining wooden distillation units in the world, which was originally installed at the Enmore plantation in 1880. This unique distillation method lends the rum its unmistakable complexity and depth.

The vintage rum was distilled in 2009 and matured for over a decade in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak, allowing it to develop an impressive balance between fruity sweetness, oaky spice and delicate vanilla notes. With an alcohol content of 40% ABV, this single still rum remains pleasantly approachable and impresses with its elegant and multi-layered structure.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Aromas of dark caramel, vanilla, toasted wood and tropical fruits.

Palate: Full-bodied and smooth with notes of honey, dried apricots, cocoa, spicy oak and a subtle smokiness.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm and balanced with sweet, spicy undertones and a hint of oak.
