The Glencadam Distillery was founded in 1825 and is one of the oldest whisky distilleries in Scotland. Glencadam uses traditional methods and copper stills to produce its whisky. The whiskies produced are generally unpeated, allowing the natural flavours of the malt to come through.

The Glencadam Reserva de Jerez was released as a limited edition by the Glencadam Distillery. This whisky was specially created by Master Distiller Robert Fleming and is composed of selected whiskies from 2007. Maturation begins in ex-American bourbon oak casks and is subsequently completed in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez. In total, the whisky matures for 15 years before it is finally bottled and made available for sale. Glencadam Reserva de Jerez is the latest in a series of limited-edition cask releases from Glencadam.

The release is limited to 9,420 bottles.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Rich notes of pralines, roasted nuts and candied peel.

Palate: Sweet, milk chocolate, maple-pecan biscuits, nutmeg.

Finish: Long-lasting, apple strudel, espresso, sweet spices.
