The Whistler Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish Irish Whiskey is a fine triple-distilled blended Irish whiskey from the Boann Distillery in County Meath. It epitomises the finest Irish craftsmanship and exceptional cask maturation. To achieve its smooth, multi-layered character, the whisky is triple-distilled and initially matures in ex-bourbon casks before receiving its characteristic finish in Oloroso sherry casks.


Whilst the bourbon casks impart the whisky’s typical warmth, vanilla and sweet honey notes, the subsequent finish in Oloroso sherry casks lends it a complex fruitiness and elegant depth. This second maturation plays a decisive role in shaping the profile of The Whistler – with finely nuanced aromas of dried fruit, nuts and a hint of spice that harmonise wonderfully with the sweet underlying structure. With an alcohol content of 43% vol., this whisky offers a perfect balance of Irish smoothness, malty sweetness and sherry-infused finesse.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm gold with slightly reddish highlights.

Nose: Dry lemon sorbet, white grapes, walnuts, nougat, creamy raspberry and a hint of tropical fruit.

Palate: Fruity and well-balanced with notes of bergamot, orange, creamy nougat, subtle minerality, as well as hints of coconut, banana and a touch of pear.

Finish: Sweet, smooth and long-lasting with a subtle, dry woody note.
