The Kaiken winery was founded in 2002 as a sister winery to Montes on the other side of the Andes and has since developed its own identity and earned an excellent international reputation. Under the dynamic and sustainable leadership of Aurelio Montes Junior, who brings a great deal of energy and a passion for experimentation to the role, Kaiken is synonymous with excellent winemaking in the high-altitude regions of the Andes. The name ‘Kaiken’ originates from the Mapuche people and refers to the Patagonian wild goose, which regularly crosses the Andes between Chile and Argentina. Inspired by this journey, Montes founded the Kaiken Estate in Argentina to produce exceptional wines there.

Kaiken Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is made exclusively from selected Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which have been carefully chosen to create a wine that perfectly expresses the power and finesse of this grape variety. This Kaiken Cabernet Sauvignon, hailing from the heart of Mendoza, is renowned for its impressive depth and complexity, which it owes to the region’s exceptional climatic conditions and characteristic soil types. After ageing in small wooden barrels, the wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.

Tasting Note

A deep ruby red in the glass. On the nose, it is fruity with aromas of dark berries such as blackcurrants, mulberries and blackberries, with striking notes of black tea and cinnamon. On the palate, it is unique, round, smooth, fresh and lively, with a wonderful fruitiness, cinnamon and dark chocolate. Long-lasting finish.

Serving temperature: 16–18 °C

This red wine pairs superbly with pasta dishes, lamb and tangy cheeses.
