Brugal 1888 is first matured for several years in carefully selected ex-bourbon oak casks, before undergoing its second maturation phase in fine Spanish sherry casks. This elaborate ‘Doblemente Añejado’ process lends the rum its remarkable depth, elegance and structure. The combination of American and European oak ensures a balanced interplay of spice, wood and subtle sweetness. Bottled at 40 per cent, this rum is harmonious, rounded and multi-layered, complemented by the high-quality gift box, which further emphasises its prestigious character.
