Pott Rum is a traditional, powerful overproof rum of German origin that has been appreciated for generations for its intense flavour and versatility. Made from selected Caribbean raw materials, this rum stands for consistency, quality and a distinctive character.
With an alcohol content of 54% vol., Pott Rum is particularly strong and aromatic, yet round and balanced in flavour. Its characteristic profile is characterised by dark molasses, warm spices, vanilla, caramel and a fine roasted aroma. Tasting Note
Colour: Dark gold with reddish reflections.
Nose: Spicy and full, with aromas of molasses, vanilla, caramel, nutmeg and a fine oak note.
Flavour: Strong and warming, with dark sugar, spicy wood notes, toffee and a hint of dried fruit.
Finish: Langs and intense, with a noticeable warmth, spicy notes and an aromatic, lingering finish.
Pott Rum is ideal for cooking and baking, such as rum balls, rum pot, fruit cake or Christmas biscuits. It is also popular for flambéing crêpes, pineapple or desserts with caramel. In the bar, it is a popular choice for strong cocktails such as Rum Old Fashioned, Planter's Punch, Hot Buttered Rum or for refining punch and mulled wine recipes.
