Tasting Note

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red colour. On the nose, there are notes of spices, herbs, red fruits and delicate citrus. On the palate, it is harmonious, with balanced bitterness, spicy depth and a hint of sweetness. The finish is round, aromatic and long-lasting, underpinned by herbal spice and subtle fruit.

Dubonnet Rouge is ideal as a classic aperitif – best served with ice cubes and a twist of citrus. It is particularly popular mixed with gin in the legendary ‘Gin and Dubonnet’ cocktail. It also pairs well with bitter lemon, tonic water or as an ingredient in aromatic long drinks. Culinary pairings include pâtés, a variety of crackers, mild cheeses and tapas, as well as dark chocolate or desserts featuring red fruits.
