Description
Description
The distilleries in Barbados (West Indies Rum Distillery), Mauritius (Saint Aubin Distillery) and Fiji (RUM Co. of Fiji Distillery) are the sources of this exceptional rum creation.
The raw materials are molasses and sugarcane juice, which develop their unique flavours during a fermentation process lasting between 3 days and 3 weeks. Both pot stills and column stills are used for distillation to extract the best nuances from each distillation method. Plantation Sealander Rum is characterised by an ester content of 100 g/hL and a dosage of 20 g/L. Ageing takes place over several years in the countries of origin, in ex-bourbon casks with a capacity of 200 litres, where the rums develop their complexity and depth.
Finally, the rum is finished at MAISON FERRAND, where it is aged for one year in specially crafted FERRAND casks with a volume of 350 litres.
