PetNat, short for Petillant Naturel or also known as the ‘Methode Rural’, is an ancient and traditional method of sparkling wine production. In this method, the must is transformed into sparkling wine in a single fermentation. During this fermentation, the yeast converts the sugar present into carbon dioxide and alcohol. In the controlled Charmat method, the carbon dioxide cannot escape and is elegantly integrated into the wine.

‘PetNat’ is characterised by its ability to build up controlled pressure. It is clarified by filtering out suspended particles and has a clean flavour. As a result, this sparkling wine presents no unpleasant surprises in terms of taste, appearance or the bottle popping open explosively.

Tasting Note

A pale green colour in the glass. Particularly intense on the nose and palate, with a fine effervescence. A long-lasting finish.
