Marzadro Espressioni Solera is an exclusive grappa blend from Distilleria Marzadro, a renowned family-run business in Trentino which, since 1949, has been synonymous with quality, innovation and craftsmanship in the art of Italian distilling. This exceptional bottling forms part of the limited-edition ‘Espressioni’ range, which is characterised by sophisticated production methods and experimental cask ageing. The Espressioni Solera is particularly distinguished by its maturation using the Solera method – a technique otherwise primarily associated with sherry and rum production.

Selected pomace from high-quality red grape varieties is used for this grappa, including Teroldego and other indigenous varieties from Trentino. Distillation takes place in batch stills using the traditional bain-marie method (Bagnomaria), resulting in particularly smooth, aromatic distillates. The grappa is then aged for several years in a Solera system of oak casks, allowing different vintages to blend harmoniously – resulting in exceptional depth, complexity and elegance.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark gold with reddish-brown highlights.

Nose: Intense and warm, with aromas of dried fruit, toasted wood, vanilla, spices and a hint of cocoa.

Palate: Full-bodied, round and well-structured with notes of caramel, raisins, oaky spice, tobacco and dark chocolate.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm and harmonious with an elegant woody note and a soft, fruity sweetness.

Espressioni Solera is a true sipping grappa, best enjoyed neat at room temperature – ideally in a bulbous grappa glass.
