With the latest instalment of the Special Releases, ‘Spirited Xchange’, we are delighted to celebrate the newest bottlings in this special series, which is inspired by cultural influences from various countries and brings leading brands to life through unique partnerships with different cultures.

Talisker The Wild Explorador Special Release, bottled at natural cask strength, is a true tribute to the maritime adventures and spirit of discovery of bygone eras. This whisky tells the story of the caravel, a Portuguese icon of seafaring that braved the harsh elements to reach the most remote corners of the earth, all whilst navigating a relentless sea. Talisker’s Malt Master honours the Portuguese roots of these impressive seafaring legends by maturing this outstanding maritime whisky in an unrivalled blend of Ruby, White and Tawny port casks. This unusual selection of casks lends the tempestuous Talisker a remarkable balance.

Tasting Note

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Sweetish and fruity, with notes of white grapes and dark fruits, and a hint of sea salt.

Palate: Creamy and smooth, rich, with maritime notes.

Finish: Long-lasting, intense, salty, with smoky undertones.
