The DAIMYO-NO Shinobu Blended Japanese Whisky is an expressive blended whisky from Japan that combines the craftsmanship of Far Eastern distillation with an internationally inspired maturation concept. Produced at the Shinobu Distillery in Niigata Prefecture, this bottling combines both locally distilled whisky and imported, matured malt and grain whiskies, which are carefully blended together.

The special thing about this blended edition is that it is matured in Japanese Mizunara oak casks, an extremely rare and expensive type of oak that gives the whisky its characteristic spiciness and fine woody flavour. "Shinobu" means patience in Japanese - a quality that is reflected in the balanced and complex character of the whisky. The alcohol content of 40% by volume ensures a harmonious drinking experience that appeals to both beginners and experienced connoisseurs.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Floral and fresh with notes of honey, vanilla, light oak and a hint of citrus.

Flavour: Mild and balanced with aromas of caramel, spices, ripe grain and subtle smoke.

Finish: Smooth, medium length with a slight sweetness and spicy wood influence.
