Before Master Distiller Jim McEwan retired in 2015, he handed over his recipe for the Black Art range to his successor.

This Bruichladdich Black Art 11.1 is produced using traditional techniques passed down from one generation to the next. It is sourced exclusively from casks dating back to before the Bruichladdich distillery’s renaissance, and has been matured on our island for almost three decades. The final single malt is created in secret by Head Distiller Adam Hannett, whose recipe is known only to him. The distillery does not use colourings or chill filtration.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep amber.

Nose: Harmonious, dried fruit, honey-sweet caramel, rich oak, exotic spices.

Palate: Balanced, dried fruit, sweet caramel, notes of oak, exotic spices.

Finish: Long-lasting.
