The long-established company Glen Grant was founded in 1840 by the brothers James and John Grant in the village of Rothes. The distillery produces a whisky called Arboralis, which is made using the soft water of the River Spey.
The name ‘Arboralis’ means ‘the light from the trees’ and refers to the numerous trees in the Victorian gardens surrounding the distillery.
Arboralis is characterised by Glen Grant’s signature style, which is marked by fruity and floral aromas as well as a slight spiciness.
This whisky exemplifies Glen Grant’s long-standing tradition and craftsmanship and is highly regarded by connoisseurs.
Tasting Note
Colour: Light amber.
Nose: Floral, fruity, raisins, citrus fruits.
Palate: Oak, vanilla, dried fruit.
Finish: Long-lasting.
