The Pogues Single Malt Irish Whiskey 40% ABV 0.7 l is a special edition created in close collaboration with the legendary Irish band The Pogues. As ‘The Official Irish Whiskey of the Legendary Band’, it embodies the rebellious, authentic and yet tradition-conscious spirit of Ireland. It is produced by West Cork Distillers, one of Ireland’s largest independent distilleries, renowned for its artisanal whiskies.


This single malt Irish whiskey is distilled from 100% malted barley and matured in carefully selected oak casks, which lend it depth and balance. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., it is approachable yet full of character, and impresses with a quintessentially Irish profile – mild, fruity and gently spicy. Bottled in a 0.7 l bottle, it stands as a stylish tribute to the band and, at the same time, an authentic representation of Irish whisky culture.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber.

Nose: Delicate aromas of honey, roasted malt, vanilla and ripe apples, accompanied by a hint of caramel and almonds.

Palate: Smooth and well-balanced with notes of dark chocolate, caramel, roasted grains and a subtle spiciness from the cask maturation.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm and smooth with a pleasant blend of sweet and spicy nuances.

The Pogues Single Malt Irish Whiskey is excellent enjoyed neat or on the rocks to savour its smooth flavours. It pairs perfectly with dark chocolate, roasted nuts or a mild cheese. It also works a treat as the base for classic whisky cocktails such as an Old Fashioned, a Whisky Sour or Irish Coffee.
