The Platzer Winery is situated in the picturesque Styrian Vulkanland, a region renowned for its exceptional wines and fascinating landscape. Nestled amongst rolling hills and surrounded by volcanic soils, the winery offers ideal conditions for growing high-quality grapes. The vineyards are all situated in the immediate vicinity of the winery and, together with partner estates, cover a total area of 35 hectares. The most important vineyard sites include Aunberg, Königsberg, Klöchberg and the Stradner Rosenberg. The vines are intensively tended throughout the growing season to ensure the highest quality and distinctive terroir characteristics. Particular emphasis is placed on sustainable viticulture to conserve natural resources.

For over 40 years, the winery has operated a bottle-washing facility and actively promotes the reuse of bottles to contribute to environmental protection.

Platzer Welschriesling Klassik is aged traditionally in stainless steel tanks, which preserves its freshness and clarity. The screw cap ensures that its quality is maintained. With a ageing potential until 2025, the Platzer Welschriesling can develop its aromas to the full.

Tasting Note

Pale green in the glass. On the nose, fruity aromas of green apples and lemongrass. Fresh and lively on the palate, with well-balanced acidity. The finish is long-lasting and fruity.
