The Fettercairn whisky distillery was founded in 1824 by Sir Alexander Ramsay in the Scottish Highlands. After Glenlivet, Fettercairn was the second distillery to be granted an official distilling licence.

After changing hands numerous times, the distillery was sold to United Spirits Limited in 2007.

To this day, the bottles bear the white unicorn coat of arms, which was introduced as a trademark by Sir Alexander Ramsay.

The ring around the neck of the bottle and the grooves on the bottle reflect the unique features of the distillation stills with external cooling.

Fettercairn 16 Years Old Highland Single Malt was matured for 16 years in bourbon casks, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This single malt was bottled unfiltered and without the addition of colouring.

Tasting Note

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Vanilla, pears, spices.

Palate: Sweetish, spicy, tropical fruits, ginger, bitter herbs, vanilla.

Finish: Long-lasting, smooth.

Enjoy this single malt neat or on the rocks.
