Jacques Senaux Green Absinthe is an intensely flavoured, high-proof green absinthe produced according to a traditional recipe and characterised by its strong herbal notes and rich green colour. With an alcohol content of 70 % vol. and bottled in a strikingly designed 0.7-litre bottle, this absinthe is aimed at experienced connoisseurs who are looking for the classic absinthe experience with all its facets.

Jacques Senaux Absinthe is made from selected botanicals, including Werder (Artemisia absinthium), aniseed, fennel and other aromatic herbs. The green colour - a trademark of many traditional absinthes - is reminiscent of the legendary "Grüne Fee" of the 19th century, which was a symbol of inspiration for artists, free thinkers and writers. The high alcohol content results in a strong flavour profile with a strong herbal character and full body.

Despite its intensity, Jacques Senaux Green remains balanced and aromatically complex - ideal for the classic preparation with sugar and Kaltern water, where the typical clouding (louche effect) unfolds.

Tasting Note

Colour: Bright emerald green.

Nose: Spicy and fresh with dominant aniseed notes, supported by wormwood, fennel and a hint of lemon balm.

Flavour: Strong, dry and herbal with a bitter-sweet interplay, slight spiciness and fine spice.

Finish: Langs, dry and tart with a classic absinthe character.

Best enjoyed in the classic way: slowly drizzle 1 part absinthe with 3-5 parts ice-cold water over a sugar cube into the glass to create the louche effect and develop the flavours. Also suitable for cocktails such as "Sazerac" or "Death in the Afternoon". An exciting culinary accompaniment to blue cheese, dark chocolate or as an aperitif with a strong character.
