Description
Dalwhinnie 15-Year-Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 43% vol. 0.7 l online kaufen
The Dalwhinnie 15 Years Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 43% is one of the classic bottlings from the Scottish Highlands and is characterised by a particularly well-balanced, finely structured style. This 15-year-old single malt is produced at the Dalwhinnie Distillery, which lies at around 326 metres above sea level, making it one of Scotland’s highest-altitude distilleries. The comparatively cool climate around Dalwhinnie ensures slow maturation conditions, allowing the whisky to develop gently over many years. This long maturation period has a decisive influence on its character and gives the Dalwhinnie Highland Single Malt its renowned balance of elegance, depth and subtle smokiness.
At 43% ABV, the Dalwhinnie 15 Years Old is harmonious and multi-layered, without losing its typical Highland character. This bottling combines 15 years of cask maturation with the distillery’s finely balanced style, making it suitable both for experienced whisky drinkers and as an accessible introduction to mature Highland single malts. It is precisely the combination of high altitude, a cool maturing climate and a long Lager period that makes this whisky a distinctive representative of its region. The 0.7-litre bottle represents a traditional Scotch with a clear provenance and a style that balances gentle sweetness, subtle spiciness and understated smoky notes.

Tasting Note
Colour: Pale gold.
Nose: Fresh and spicy with dried fruit, heather and a subtle hint of peat.
Palate: Smooth and silky with heather, honey and bourbon vanilla, followed by rich fruity notes and toasted bread.
Finish: Long-lasting, mellow and deep, with an initial sweetness followed by smoky and peaty malt notes.
The Dalwhinnie 15 Years Old is particularly well suited to being enjoyed neat at around 18 to 20 °C, although a few drops of still water can bring out additional fruity and herbal notes. It pairs particularly well with mild hard cheeses, smoked salmon, roast poultry or roasted nuts. For desserts, honey biscuits, apple tart, vanilla custard or lightly caramelised desserts harmonise well with the smooth Highland style. The whisky can also be served over a large ice cube if you wish to tone down the sweet and malty notes slightly.
