Kanosuke Single Malt Japanese Whisky is a modern expression of the Japanese art of distilling that impressively embodies the subtle aesthetics and precision craftsmanship of the Japanese whisky world. It is produced at the young but already highly regarded Kanosuke Distillery, which was founded in 2017 on the sun-drenched west coast of the Japanese island of Kyūshū. With a direct view of the East China Sea, a whisky is created here that has both regional influence and international stature.

The bottling is matured in a versatile combination of ex-bourbon, sherry and American oak casks, which gives the whisky a multi-layered and harmoniously balanced profile. The alcohol content of 48% vol. emphasises the aromatic depth and ensures an intense, yet pleasantly round taste experience. Naturally, it is bottled without chill filtration and in its natural colour, in the spirit of authentic and quality-conscious production.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Gentle and balanced with vanilla, honey, white pepper and floral notes.

Flavour: Complex and smooth with light fruits, citrus, spices and subtle roasted aromas.

Finish: Langs, delicately spicy and elegant with fresh oak notes.

Ideal in combination with Japanese dishes such as grilled fish, teriyaki or edamame. Also ideal with white chocolate or lightly salted nuts. As a meditative dram, it unfolds its full effect neat or with a few drops of water.
