Kanosuke Single Malt Japanese Whisky is a modern expression of the art of Japanese distilling, impressively embodying the subtle aesthetics and artisanal precision of the Japanese whisky world. It is produced at the young but already highly regarded Kanosuke Distillery, which was founded in 2017 on the sun-drenched west coast of the Japanese island of Kyūshū. With a direct view of the East China Sea, a whisky is created here that possesses both regional influence and international stature.

The whisky matures in a diverse combination of ex-bourbon, sherry and American oak casks, lending it a multi-layered and harmoniously balanced profile. The alcohol content of 48% ABV emphasises the aromatic depth and ensures an intense yet pleasantly rounded tasting experience. It is, of course, bottled without chill filtration and in its natural colour, in keeping with an authentic and quality-conscious production process.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale gold.

Nose: Smooth and well-balanced with vanilla, honey, white pepper and floral notes.

Palate: Complex and smooth with light fruits, citrus, spices and subtle toasted notes.

Finish: Long-lasting, delicately spicy and elegant with a fresh oak note.

Ideal with Japanese dishes such as grilled fish, teriyaki or edamame. Also excellent with white chocolate or lightly salted nuts. As a meditative dram, it reveals its full character when enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water.
