This rum is based on a blend of pot still and column still distillates, which give it its typical Jamaican character: powerful ester notes combined with a harmonious smoothness. The initial ageing takes place in the tropics in ex-bourbon casks, before the rum is finished in France in aromatic Curaçao wine casks. This rare choice of casks lends it an exceptional freshness, combining Jamaica’s exotic fruitiness with floral and citrus-driven notes.
