The SHINOBU Distillery, based in Niigata – a coastal region of Japan renowned for its ‘three white treasures’: snow, rice and sake – produces pure malt whiskies under the guidance of Master Blender Usami Ken.

These whiskies are initially matured in sherry and bourbon casks and are then finished in Japanese Mizunara oak, which is prized for its rich aromas of apples, pears, cloves and nutmeg. Used since the 1930s, Mizunara oak is now sought after worldwide for its uniqueness.

SHINOBU Lightly Peated Pure Malt Whisky is characterised by a robust body with smoky notes and toasted oak aromas.

All Shinobu Whiskies are produced without chill filtration or added colouring to preserve their complex character and depth.
