The Tres Hombres Edition 49 La Palma Caña Pura 2022 was produced at the renowned Aldea distillery on La Palma. After being distilled from freshly pressed sugar cane juice, this rum first underwent a 5-month ageing period on land. It was then matured for a further six months in selected ex-Palo Cortado and Moscatel casks on board the Tres Hombres on the high seas. This unusual method of maturation on a cargo ship gives the rum a distinctive aroma and a characteristic flavour.

The owners of Tres Hombres are committed to the principle of ‘Fairtransport’, whereby the rum is transported emission-free and in the traditional manner by sailing ship. The company uses this voyage not only for transport, but also specifically for the additional ageing of its high-quality distillates, which gives the Tres Hombres Edition 49 La Palma Caña Pura 2022 its exceptional profile.

Nose: Nutmeg blossoms, fresh cane sugar, green tea.

Palate: Sugar cane, grassy freshness, slightly sweet.
