Rum and honey are a particularly prized combination in the Canary Islands.

For the smooth and sweet honey rum produced by the Aldea distillery on La Palma, sugar cane is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers or pesticides.

After distillation from the juice of this freshly pressed sugar cane and a short ageing period, the rum is enhanced with fine, locally produced organic honey. For the voyage aboard the sailing ship Tres Hombres, this spiced rum is decanted into former Armagnac casks, giving the ‘La Palma Ron y Miel 2022’ an exquisite finish during its nearly 10,000-mile, five-month sea voyage.

The bottle labels feature motifs of the Tres Hombres and its adventurous voyages. The bottles are closed with natural corks and sealed with beeswax.

This wax is enriched with colour pigments ground from natural materials in a traditional windmill in Zaandam, giving the bottles an authentic and environmentally friendly finish.
