Douglas Laing has rebranded its well-known Island Blended Malt from ‘Rock Oyster’ to ‘Rock Island’, whilst keeping the award-winning contents unchanged. Rock Island combines selected single malts from the Scottish islands of Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney, giving it distinctive smoky notes, sweetness and maritime aromas. As part of the Remarkable Regional Malts series, Rock Island symbolises the diversity and quality of Scotland’s malt whisky regions.

The distinctive feature of the Douglas Laing Rock Island Tequila Cask Finish Edition lies in its unique finish in tequila casks, which gives this bottling its characteristic name. To preserve its authenticity and purity, this whisky is bottled without chill filtration and without the addition of colouring agents.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale gold.

Nose: Citrus fruits, campfire, caramel.

Palate: Citrus fruits, brown sugar, crème brûlée.

Finish: Long-lasting.
