The Lackner Tinnacher Winery is a family-run business that has been producing wine since 1770. The vines grow in six different vineyards across the beautiful region of Styria. Wilma and Fritz Tinnacher have been running the winery for 30 years; in 2013, it was taken over by their daughter, Katharina Tinnacher.

The high quality of the wines is attributable to generations of experience.

Lackner Tinnacher Welschriesling is produced exclusively from carefully hand-picked, fully ripe Welschriesling grapes. Following the hand harvest, the whole grapes were gently pressed, with the juice flowing into the wine cellar by gravity. There, spontaneous fermentation began in steel tanks, after which the Welschriesling matured in the cellar for five months. A natural malolactic fermentation following the main fermentation gives the Welschriesling its distinctive balance and harmony. After the ageing phase, it is bottled and sealed with a natural cork. This Lackner Tinnacher Welschriesling is characterised by an ageing potential extending until 2027.

Tasting Note

A bright, clear straw-yellow colour with green highlights in the glass. On the nose, spicy notes accompanied by ripe yellow apples, citrus zest and fresh meadow herbs. On the palate, it is well-balanced, juicy and inviting, with harmonious acidity and notes of yellow apples, nuts and meadow herbs. The finish is long-lasting.
