The Frescobaldi family has been producing wines for over 700 years, with their growing areas stretching from the south to the north of Tuscany. The Castelgiocondo Brunello, which is considered the perfect expression of its Montalcino vineyard of origin, is the result of careful grape selection in the estate's own vineyards.

These vineyards, which are characterised by their ideal altitude, sunny location and well-drained soil, provide the perfect conditions for growing the Sangiovese grape variety. Year after year, Castelgiocondo Brunello shines with its elegant structure, which is characterised by both complexity and longevity. The wine is matured in barriques, which gives it additional finesse and maturity.

Thanks to these careful processes and ideal conditions, the Frescobaldi family is able to produce wines of the highest quality, which are appreciated both nationally and internationally.

Tasting Note

Ruby red with violet reflections. Typical nose of cherries, raspberries and a hint of gingerbread spice and caramel. Very juicy, pleasant and fruity on the palate. A light fresh note emerges. Rounded off with some roasted flavours and a long-lasting finish.

Drinking temperature: 16-18 °C.

This wine is an excellent accompaniment to bolognese, cannelloni, lasagne, pizza neapolitana and saltimbocca. It is also the ideal accompaniment to sardines, rice balls, polenta and pies.
