Founded by the visionaries Richard and Bernard d’Offay, Takamaka rum is produced at the Trois-Frères distillery, located in the Plaine Saint-André on the island of Mahé.

The Trois-Frères distillery, situated on the Plaine Saint-André on the island of Mahé, began producing its first Seychelles rums in 2002. These rums bear the name ‘Takamaka’ and are named after one of the 23 districts of the island to which they belong.

It is first matured in French oak casks, followed by a special maturation in sherry casks that previously held Scottish single malt whisky.

This unique heritage gives Takamaka rum an aromatic profile of rare elegance, in which the influences of the terroir blend harmoniously with the subtlety of the ageing in Palo Cortado casks.

Tasting Note

Colour: Red amber.

Nose: Floral, pineapple, grapefruit, toasted bread.

Palate: Marzipan, aniseed, orange blossom.
