Leonardo da Vinci Chianti is a classic, elegant red wine from the world-famous Chianti wine region in Tuscany, produced by the traditional Italian winery Leonardo da Vinci. The renowned winery stands for authentic, high-quality wines that perfectly represent the cultural and vinophile heritage of Tuscany.

This Chianti is mainly made from the traditional Sangiovese grape variety, supplemented by smaller proportions of indigenous varieties, which give it additional complexity and depth. The grapes come from selected sites with optimal sun exposure and calcareous soils, which give the wine its typical freshness and fruit-fuelled elegance. Careful manual harvesting is followed by gentle vinification and traditional ageing in stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels.

With its moderate alcohol content of 13% vol., Leonardo da Vinci Chianti is a versatile, harmonious red wine that impressively combines Tuscan joie de vivre and Italian flavour.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Leonardo da Vinci Chianti presents itself in a bright ruby red colour with subtle violet reflections. The nose reveals typical, fresh aromas of red cherries, wild berries and plums, accompanied by delicate nuances of Mediterranean herbs, violets and an elegant spiciness. On the palate, the wine impresses with its pleasant fruitiness, balanced acidity and velvety, finely integrated tannins. The finish is harmonious, medium-long and slightly spicy with a fruity aftertaste.

Leonardo da Vinci Chianti is a perfect accompaniment to classic Italian cuisine such as pasta with tomato sauce, pizza, antipasti and risotto.
