The Cava de Oro brand is synonymous with high-quality 100% agave tequila, which comes from the Puerta de Hierro distillery. Located in El Arenal, Jalisco, Mexico, this distillery produces handcrafted tequilas. The blue agaves are carefully harvested to ensure the very best quality. Four varieties are then distilled: Plata, Reposado, Añejo and Extra Añejo. The Cava de Oro Añejo tequila, which has been aged for two years, is extremely popular.

It is aged for longer than the minimum one-year period in the cask required for the ‘Añejo’ designation. Activated charcoal filtration makes the tequila crystal-clear without compromising its flavour. The result is a crystal-clear 100 per cent agave tequila that possesses the complexity of an Añejo tequila.

Tasting Note

Nose: Caramel, vanilla, nutmeg.

Palate: Wood, cinnamon, caramel, maple syrup, vanilla.

Finish: Long-lasting.
