Tomintoul Small Batch Tempranillo Wine Cask Finish 40% vol. 0.7 l in a gift box online kaufen
The Tomintoul Distillery, situated in the Scottish Highlands within the Cairngorms National Park and named after the nearby village of Tomintoul, opened its doors in 1964 and is now owned by Angus Dundee Distillers.
Situated at an altitude of 370 metres above sea level, Tomintoul is Scotland’s second-highest distillery, surpassed only by the Braeval Distillery, which was founded in 1973. Although the majority of the 3.2 million litres of spirit produced annually is exported to the United States for use in blends, Tomintoul regularly releases special single-cask bottlings.
The Tomintoul Tempranillo Cask Finish is a smooth and flavourful whisky that is first matured in classic American bourbon oak casks, before being finished in casks that previously held Spain’s most significant red wine variety, the dark-fruited Tempranillo. The result is a harmonious whisky with intense aromas of strawberry jam, complemented by subtle toasted notes that lend the flavour additional depth and complexity.
