Don Papa, one of the lesser-known heroes of the Philippine Revolution, joined the struggle for his country’s independence whilst working as a foreman on a sugar cane plantation, and led his countrymen in driving the invaders out of his beloved homeland. Don Papa Baroko, hailing from the island of Negros in the Philippine archipelago, honours the courage of the revolutionaries with this exceptional spirit.

The rum, distilled from high-quality sugar cane grown on extremely fertile volcanic soil, is aged in oak casks after distillation. Only the finest and most prized casks, selected specifically for the Baroko, bring out the intense fruit and vanilla aromas of this limited edition. A dash of local cane sugar, which further enhances these flavours, makes this molasses rum a truly exceptional creation.

Palate: Sweet, with exotic notes, hints of vanilla, fruit cake and citrus fruits.
