The Glencadam Distillery, founded in 1825 by George Cooper in the Scottish town of Angus, draws its water from the Barry Burn. Following its sale to Angus Dundee Plc. in 2003, the distillery expanded its portfolio from a 15-year-old whisky to a full product range by 2009.

Glencadam Reserva de Madeira is a first-class Highland single malt Scotch whisky that achieves a distinctive depth and complexity through its maturation in Madeira wine casks. The 15-year-old Glencadam Reserva de Madeira, distilled in 2008, was initially matured in ex-bourbon casks made of American oak before being finished in Madeira wine casks.

These casks impart rich, fruity notes that harmonise perfectly with the creamy and spicy flavours. Bottled at natural colour and without chill filtration at 46% ABV, this whisky retains its full, unadulterated flavours.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Butterscotch, ginger biscuits, caramelised pecans, dried pineapple.

Palate: Peach cake, golden syrup, caramel, toasted walnuts, candied citrus peel.

Finish: Long-lasting.
