The A.H. Riise distillery on St Thomas in the Caribbean, founded in the 1840s by pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise during the Danish colonial period, combines traditional distilling skills with its founder's passion for discovery. The Black Gem Collection, consisting of three exclusive rums, is inspired by rare black gemstones that lie hidden deep beneath the waters of the West Indies.

The Black Coral, the first variant in the collection, draws its inspiration from a rare species of coral found in these waters. With a limited edition of 5,990 numbered bottles, this rum represents the essence of the fertile environment that gives the sugar cane plants their special quality. The A.H.
