The AEH 5 Years Old Finest Full Rich Doce Madeira Wine is a sweet, full-bodied Madeira wine with an alcohol content of 19 per cent by volume, originating from the Portuguese island region of the same name. This fine fortified wine is produced from the Tinta Negra Mole and Malvasia Preta grape varieties, which are typical of Madeira and renowned for their aromatic diversity and ageing potential. With its volcanic terroir, mild climate and steep vineyards, the Madeira region offers ideal conditions for producing wines with a distinctive character and excellent ageing potential.

Using traditional methods, the port is first aged oxidatively under controlled heat to develop the typical Madeira characteristics, with caramelised, nutty and dried-fruit aromas. The five-year ageing process takes place in oak barrels, lending the port additional depth and harmony. Once matured, the Madeira is carefully bottled and sealed with a natural cork to preserve its quality and allow for further development in the bottle.

This Madeira wine is ideal as a dessert wine or as an accompaniment to special occasions.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the AEH 5 Years Old Madeira displays a deep amber colour with golden-brown highlights. On the nose, it offers enticing aromas of dried fruit, caramelised sugar, toasted nuts and a hint of honey. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, with notes of figs, dates, toffee and spicy wood. The finish is long, smooth and characterised by an elegant sweetness.
