The Hennessy distillery, based in Cognac, France, was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy and is now in its eighth generation of family ownership. The Irish officer emigrated to Cognac and founded the company ‘Jas Hennessy & Co’ there, whose cognac quickly gained international renown. Only grapes from the Cognac region are used in production; after double distillation in copper stills, they are transformed into pure eaux-de-vie – the basis for all Hennessy cognacs.

In a special collaboration, the artist Jean-Michel Othoniel, known for his colourful and unique sculptures, has given the Hennessy XO a new, artistic design in a limited edition. The bottle is encased in a reflective metal sleeve, whose gentle curves and sparkling reflections create a striking visual effect. Othoniel’s design pays tribute to the bottle’s timeless beauty and symbolises the fusion of tradition and modernity, as well as the close connection between art and cognac culture.

Nose: Candied fruit, oak, cinnamon, vanilla.

Palate: Rich, dried fruit, cocoa, pepper.
