Adrian Schleihauf is the third-generation head of the Schleihauf Fine Fruit Distillery, which has specialised in the artisanal production of high-quality spirits for over 40 years. The distillery was founded in 1982 by his grandfather, Herbert Schleihauf, an experienced cooper and cellar master who laid the foundations for the production of traditional fruit brandies.

Inspired by his cat Rüdiger, he created the ‘Böser Kater’ brand, which combines a love of cats with a passion for first-class spirits. Adrian and his team are continuing the tradition of the family-run business. Every purchase of a Böser Kater gin contributes to cat welfare, as a portion of the proceeds goes towards this cause

Böser Kater Two Faced Gin offers a unique experience, as it captivates not only with its flavour but also with its appearance. As the name suggests, the gin reveals two distinct faces, which become particularly visible when tonic water is added.

Whilst the gin glows a deep blue when served neat, its colour changes as soon as acidic drinks are added, transforming into a mesmerising violet. This colour change, which provides a visual highlight, occurs because the gin is produced naturally and derives its blue colour exclusively from secret, yet entirely natural, ingredients.
