The Teeling Distillery, an Irish whisky distillery that first opened in Dublin in 1782, has secured a firm place in the history of Irish whisky over the centuries. After the distillery was refurbished in 2015 and reopened just a few metres from its original site, it quickly became a popular tourist attraction. This is largely because visitors are given unique insights into the entire production process and can experience the craft of whisky-making at first hand.

The Teeling 21 Year Old Rising Reserve No. 3 is a remarkable single malt Irish whisky and marks the first release in Teeling’s prestigious Rising Reserve Collection. This whisky is composed of carefully selected casks drawn from the distillery’s finest and oldest single malts, making it a true rarity.

It was initially matured for 18 years in ex-bourbon casks before undergoing a three-year finish in fine Ruby Port casks, which lends it a distinctive aroma and exceptional depth. It is particularly worth noting that the whisky is bottled without chill filtration, allowing it to retain its natural structure and richness.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Vanilla, apricots, tobacco, fruit, oranges, almonds.

Palate: Creamy, brown sugar, oak, cinnamon, prunes.

Finish: Long-lasting, cocoa.
